The video on the right shows a container sent from the UK by Starfish arriving in Malawi, and the joy it brings to boys and girls, as they receive their gifts.

School Fundraising

Please find below a brief message and photo gallery from Gillian Day at High Weald Academy, linked to Salima Secondary school, regarding their most recent gifts to the school and community.

“Hi there

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all the donations and money that was raised prior to the visit to Malawi.

Overall I delivered 397 pairs of pants, about 10 kilos of stationery and 135 mosquito nets to the most needy people in our link school and at the local orphanage.

As the children said, they were so grateful for the chance to avoid malaria. They know how to prevent this disease but money has always stood in the way of them remaining free from malaria. Hopefully the number of cases will now drop at Salima Secondary School.

The children and staff at Glad Tidings Orphan Care were very happy with their new underwear. It is so rare for them to receive something that is brand new and they were slightly overwhelmed.

We couldn’t have done this without all your support so thank you very much!”

There are some great fundraising ideas in the Children's Zone, which are participatory and fun. Starfish operate with a very low expense ratio, ensuring that as much money as possible gets out to Malawi.

get involved.

Thank you.
