Sustainable Development Goals
The original eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) – ranged from halving extreme poverty rates to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015. They formed a blueprint agreed to by all the world’s countries and leading development institutions. They managed to galvanise unprecedented efforts to meet the needs of the world’s poorest.
Lives have been changed forever through this ground breaking initiative, and recently a new set of Sustainable Goals have been set for 2030.
